Code of Conduct


ESAT High School student responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Following all rules of behavior and conduct
  • Respecting school personnel
  • Respecting fellow students
  • Refraining from physical affection on campus (such as holding hands and or kissing)
  • Attending classes regularly and on time
  • Completing all assigned work (to the best of the student’s ability)
  • Being prepared for class (bring materials i.e. books, homework, pencils)
  • Participating in class assignments and discussions
  • Participating in all assessment measures (i.e. tests)
  • Respecting the property of the school and others
  • Keeping the campus clean
  • Following the school dress code

 Unacceptable student behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cheating
  • Classroom disturbance
  • Eating in class
  • Failure to follow lawful directions of staff members
  • Horseplay/play fighting/pushing/running/yelling
  • Inappropriate use of technology and telecommunications
  • Use, possession or sale of alcohol, tobacco or a controlled substance.
  • Fighting
  • Possession of a knife, gun, explosives or other dangerous objects.
  • Destruction of school property
  • Theft

 The following articles may be brought to campus but can’t be out or used during school hours unless with specific academic permission by school personnel.  Electronic devices including but not limited to: cell/ smart phones, iPods, mp3 players, video games, etc.  These items may be confiscated if they are suspected of being involved in a more serious incident (such as cheating or harassing another student). 

 Students who violate the school rules are subject, but not limited to, the following consequences:

  • Verbal warning
  • Loss of privileges (i.e. detention, free dress)
  • A notice to parents
  • Conference with student/parent
  • Behavior contract
  • Suspension
  • Contact with law enforcement and/ or recommendation for expulsion

 Any student who engages in repeated violations of ESAT High School behavioral will be required to attend a meeting with the school’s staff and the student’s parent. ESAT High School will prepare a specific, written remediation agreement outlining future student conduct expectations, timelines, and consequences for failure to meet the expectations.
