On Thursday, March 11, our ESHS students will have an opportunity to connect with a NASA engineer who helped send the Mars 2020 Spacecraft to Mars!
Christopher Pong, the Attitude Control Engineer, will be available to answer any questions that our students may have about his career trajectory, working on the Mars 2020 spacecraft, and all things engineering and Mars-related.
You may have also seen him heavily featured during the coverage of Mars 2020, as the man in the red mask.
Students can join us for this one-hour Q&A on Thursday, March 11 from 2-3pm by heading to the link below:
Students may also submit questions ahead of time by emailing me.
Update to Wednesday Bell Schedule
October 26, 2020
Good Morning Grizzlies,
Last week, it was announced to all students that the Wednesday Advisory schedule would be adjusted and moved to later in the day to 11:30pm-12:30pm.
While we recognize that making schedule adjustments 10 weeks into the semester are uncommon, the low attendance that we continued to experience on Wednesdays, as compared to Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays, were having a significant impact on our Average Daily Attendance (ADA), which directly impacts how our school is funded.
After reviewing the Advisory Survey that was completed by students, as well as speaking to our School Site Advisory Council representatives, and in speaking with teachers, we ultimately decided that moving to a later start time for Advisory would ensure that more students were awake and ready for advisory.
We thank you for your continued flexibility as we address the continuing challenges of distance learning.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
